Hi,

I was looking into radio advertising for my ecommerce site; has anyone ever had any experience in "local radio" or "satellite radio (xm or sirius)" advertising? If so, were you pleased with the results you received?

Also, does anyone know what pricing is like for "local radio" or "satellite radio (xm or sirius)" advertising? Is this form of advertising expensive?

Thank you,

I've never looked into local, but i've *tried* to look into satellite. I contacted sirius multiple times to inquire about advertising and rates but could never get any response.

I would love to see what you find out if you pursue it further.

Yeah, I'll try contacting them and I'll let you know if I get any information from them!

I forgot the name of the company, but there is an internet radio ad company. It was something like $4 per thousand and you get a 15 second spot along with a banner ad. They also give you a free 1st time recording.

Their minimum was a little high, so I never tested it, but it sounded interesting.

I listen to a couple of those stations regularly. (at night) and I'm amazed at the % of those ads that are for non-profits, govt. assistance programs, other radio stations, etc.

It seems like hardly any ads for 'real' non-related companies.

We have done radio for our physical store and unfortunately not noticed a difference. Television on the other hand, really brings in people.
