Don't you love it when your competition screws up?

A while back I had mentioned that a weird guy who bought one of my products, eventually hired somebody else to start making the same product for him (changed a tiny bit) based on my product... then emailed everybody in the niche he could think of to specifically brag about it being better than mine. I just noticed today that a customer was calling him out on a very large forum for the niche, claiming that he had been giving him the runaround and not sending his products he ordered... He claimed he had enough, and was going to do a charge-back and call the BBB. This list is seen by many many people in the niche.

Maybe I should send him an email and thank him for an early Christmas present.

Another thing you can do is to send some links to the forum post you mentioned. Make sure it shows up on the 2nd spot of the SERPs when you search for his site name or brand name.

Absolutely! The problem is that the players in my niche don't make a lot of mistakes. There's quite a bit of money involved and my competitors bring their "A-game" to the table when they sit down. Make a mistake and it can haunt you for a long time. "Stay current or go home" is the mantra here. "Snooze you lose" is another one I like.

It keeps me from getting complacent though. I can't sit back and turn on auto-pilot for 3 months, even though that's what I'd like to do.

It was intended Jon. You're right up there on the top of that list.

I like how you think. :-)

He was on the forum today, crying about how hurt he was that people don't trust him. It's a bunch of BS. The guy said he bought it over two weeks ago and he ignored him ever since. If he had actually sent it, he would just put up the tracking # and be done with it. So the damage is done. As all you guys know, this isn't like being in construction or something. You can't say you're going to do something, then just not do it. People don't put up with that in this biz.
