I need to change domain names for my webstore, so along with that I'm considering switching from VirtueMart after two years. Not happy with bugs and limitations, and tired of spending hundreds of hours being a PM for custom webdev.

I know this is an extremely complex subject, so I'm just seeking some general feedback, like "I switched from @@@ because it sucks, and now happy with %%%!" or whatever. Here are the multivendor carts I see are available. Thanks.

* X-cart Pro
* IXXO Cart Multi-Vendor Edition for Joomla
* WebGenie
* Magento
* oscMall
* CS-Cart Multi-Vendor
* I can't accept SaaS solutions like Aceflex. What if they go OOB? My store goes too; can't risk it.
* NextLevelObjects: No price on site. Seems like enterprise-level. Probably $$$$$$$$$$.

Try osCommerce, its open source, has various contributions for MV support. You will have to integrate them yourself but there are instructions how to do it.
