Use My Bank

Online payments direct from bank account... has anyone used this?

I am looking at adding a new payment method to my portals.

It is a service called UseMyBank

Basically the user selects UseMyBank as the payment type, they select their bank and login to their bank using their usual credentials.

They then approve a money transfer and arrive back at the merchant site.

There isn't a lot of new code needed to make this work.

Before I do the work and sign a contract I am wondering if anyone has used this service and if there are any downsides to this that I am not seeing.... other than no US support yet.

Isn't UseMyBank a part of usemyservices.com? In just looking at it briefly, I would first get the over all acceptance of it by your potential and actual customers.

Downsides that I see from the site:
1. User MAY have to create an account with them
2. Unclear on charges applied to consumer - possible but uses terms that are not meaningful in the UK so I am not sure and a customer will have even less idea.
3. Couldn't find details of merchant fees

The most popular service is Ebillme

and for merchant less then 9M its done via cardinal commerce
