I have been reading the forum for a while and have been very happy with the information I have found.
I just recently started an online store. Most of my customers are local in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
I am wondering if I should be charging HST on my orders? all my product is shipped directly from China to the customer (dropshipping).
Most orders are under $20 so the customer is not required to pay duty.
So should I apply for an HST number and start charging taxes? or no?. I am not doing very much business at the moment <$500 a month (gross). But I do plan on starting a campaign to increase sales soon.
