Tracking Number Headaches

Need an automated way of getting tracking numbers from dropship supplier

I am currently working with a supplier that knows nothing about technologies other than how to use email.

They dropship products for me and I send them an email order list with customer info every night and they process everything the next day. Up until this point, they have been using USPS and USPS offered them a way to enter the customer emails when creating a shipment, and USPS will email the customers directly with tracking numbers.

Recently, they had to switch to Fedex Ground. My supplier is telling me that Fedex doesn't offer them a way to email customers tracking numbers (not completely sure if this is true, but they did mention that in order to keep cost down, they weren't going to pay for that feature)

So now I am in a bit of trouble. We do about 30 orders with this supplier a day and tons of customers will email me for tracking number and I would have to email the supplier for them. The supplier will then type it up and email it back to me. Very manual and slow process...

I am still researching ways of getting around this, but does anyone have a suggestion for me? If there's even a way for my supplier to be able to send me back all the tracking numbers in an email without having to type everything up one by one, it would be extremely helpful.

Thanks.

FedEx ground does have a way to send the customer a tracking number email and the dropshipper can add you to the send so u have a tracking number for the customer if you need it to give out.

Do you know if that costs extra to the supplier? My supplier seems to be telling me that they have to pay extra for it.

No it comes with all the shippers. FedEx both Ground and Express, USPS, and UPS. I think they just don't want to take the extra time to add the emails in the system to send out because it does take about 1 minute to do it.
