X-cart plus configurator

Anyone using this config?

I need to swiftly install a cart for a client
but I need a drop box with multiple select options.
I have no time to dive in the script and modify it.

Support at X-cart advised on using x-cart with the configurator module

Has anyone used it?
Does it allow for drop box multiple options?

Any other system out of the box offering my requirements? (needs to be PHP and MySQL)

I do not think it will work
A dropdown box can be set within "Variants"
but no multiple select seems to be available
and the variants require a price per item
which I do need.
I am looking for a pure DDbox with multiple selections
capability
Best example is to select items for a gift basket
the basket has a fixed price and calls to selct a few items to create it.

Anyone has done it with this system?

I'd suggest you propose what you're looking for to the X-Cart guys and get a quote. Be very specific about what you want but their rates are very cheap. It may require that you purchase the configurator and they customize that to suit but it's worth asking them. I've had good luck going this route.
