Anyone having problems with Paypal today?

IPN suddenly not working for site

I have a membership based site where I accept payments via PayPal and information is passed back to the database to update the membership to paid.

Today I noticed that it is not working, Paypal is accepting the payments--but memberships are not being updated at my end.

It turns out, that someone else who is using the same software I am is having a similar issue.

I'm trying to figure out if the problem is with a mod that was done to my software, or if there is something going on at PayPal.

Has anybody else noticed if their IPN is or isn't working correctly today?

What IPN-enabled software are you using?

it's a directory program (I'm not sure that I can mention the name due to the TOS).

It was working fine for about 4 weeks and today it suddenly stopped.

Initally I thought it was something I did, but someone else is reporting the same issue, and his problem just started today too (and he hasn't made any modifications or upgrades and has been using the software for 6 months now).

I just wanted to post an update, in case anyone else runs into problems.

PayPal did make changes to the IPN system which took place the morning of August 19th.
