Mobile Shopping Set To Grow To As Much As $119 Billion By 2015 [businessweek.com]
While mobile is still a small part of eBay's $8.7 billion in total revenue, it's a booming market. By 2015, mobile commerce will grow into a $119 billion global industry, up from $18.3 billion last year, according to analyst Mark Beccue of ABI Research.

Only when mobile browsing = regular browsing will mobile shopping rival traditional online shopping. I've had some form of mobile Internet since the Palm VII came out in what, 1998 I think, and to this day I have never bought anything via a cell phone, pda, or smartphone.

Is it coming? Sure, but not until a mobile web browser is identical to a regular web browser on a PC or Mac.

How much is for physical goods and how much for ringtones, downloads and car park charges?

I know that the only thing I have ever paid for with a mobile device is credit for my PAYG phone.
