Yep. We get address questions ALL the time. We probably take in 30-40 address questions every conference. You just tell them to try it one way or the other way. There is no fraud or security risk.

1 more month till my bank update their files

Dontcha just love progress. In my young days as a bank clerk in the early 1970s the customer would send the address change by letter which would arrive next day. Same day (no excuses, all correspondence was handled on the day of receipt) the change would be entered onto a form for the terminal operator who would punch it in during the afternoon. Next day the system would have the new address.

I think the customer has a problem with his bank not with the order if 40 years later it takes 30 times as long to record an address change.

That seems like an unusually long time for something like an address record to be updated. Usually it's either instant or within 24 hours.

You could figure out pretty easily which address is correct the account - just log in to your merchant terminal and do an authorization (not a charge) against the card for 50 cents or a dollar with the new address. If it works, void it and update your records. If not, leave the old address on there and try it again in a few days.
