I was wondering if it is possible to identify an international PayPal account prior to sending it off for settlement.

Would the IP address aide in identifying where the buyer is from?

I want to be able to indentify PayPal orders that are on international accounts and are shipping to the US.

I searched thru their site a few different ways and I could not locate it. If the IP address was not US based, could you assume that the merchant was international (or on vacation)?

I want to be able to indentify PayPal orders that are on international accounts and are shipping to the US.

PayPal does not allow users to ship to a different country from where they are registered. In the case of Account Optional payments, where the customer is not required to have a PayPal account, they must ship to the same country that is used for their billing address.
