Hi Everyone,
I have a similar problem, but in addition to wanting to sell files from my website, I would also like to ensure that the content of the files is Google searchable without users being able to view the entire content. In other words I want surfers to find me but prevent them from accessing the full content of files without either purchasing them or supplying a password.
More specifically, In the case PDFs:
Users who click a google search result to arrive at my site should not be allowed to see the full text of the content they're trying to access.
A random example:
Search for <specifics removed> and [a certain site in the results] only shows you the first page, the rest of the documents can only be accessed via a password.
In the case of images:
I have created many images containing exotic script designs. All files have very long, descriptive names, viz. they are rich in keywords. Adding superimposed logos or similar protection means a lot of work. Is it possible to simply upload all images into a single folder, make the file(name)s in the folder searchable, but the files themselves inaccessible without a password?
Thanks in advance!
