Does anyone use an EDI service to connect directly to their supplies? Can you let me know who you use by private messaging me or listing them in this post?
I'm interested in using an EDI service company to connect directly to my suppliers for dropshipping, but don't know any good companies that I can use.
Also, how exactly does EDI work? Do you batch your orders to them?
Thank you,

I realize I'm late on this post but we ourselves used to do EDI with two of our vendors in sending them orders, getting frieght info back, along with invoicing. It's slick. Feel free to contact me offline for more details.

EDI has a lot of functions available within its scope. It's not just a single function concept.
It's probably best to read this wikipedia article [en.wikipedia.org] on EDI, but also be sure and read about the most current standard/protocol [en.wikipedia.org].
It is imperitive the mapping [en.wikipedia.org] of the segments ALWAYS be correct!

Let me just add on to the previous post, some readily available information which is publicly available. This the EDI Standards Document [poolcorp.com] from one of our vendors.
A lot of possible vendors should have something of this nature available to their customers who wish to conduct EDI with them.
