I'm building this for a single restaurant.
I have found many shopping carts on the web but none seem to really cater to a restaurants needs.
Any ideas on a good shopping cart?

It could become very complicated very quickly. Makes building your own quite expensive.
GoMobo seems to have something along those lines, or PatronPath. And of course SeamlessWeb, if your client won't mind competing with other neighborhood restaurants...
Please post a followup if you end up finding something that fits your needs.

Niche described probably does not have a turnkey solution out there. Best look to carts you can style and mod with least effort to achieve the goal. If you want something as specific as those national pizza sites... that could be a lot of work. Also thinking through the real time response to a cart order to get the kitchen in gear for either carry out or delivery. Can be done, just thinking about all that must be done to make it work.
