Paypal Problem?

Not marking orders as paid

Is anyone else having a problem with Paypal not sending the whatever it is that is needed to mark orders as paid? (Non-tecchy - can you tell?!)
Usually when someone places an order though my shop and pays using paypal, Paypal sends something to my site which says the order has been paid. For the last 4 or 5 days, this has not been happening (but I had no idea until I got an irate customer who had not received her urgently needed goods).
I can't get any sense out of paypal at the moment - is this affecting anyone else and does anyone know if it is a paypal issue?

The PayPal service is called Instant Payment Notification (or IPN). IPN is working for me. Perhaps something has changed on your server or in your PayPal profile.

Maybe it's your shopping cart. My cart does not have people come back to my site, and if they don't, I never get the Paid email, only the Pending email. So now I just print out the Pending email and stamp it with a Paid stamp.
