Hello all. I'm new to the forums, and am glad to see such a useful collection of resources. I hope to stick around for a while.

I'm the sole developer for a marketing company that's expanding into the e-com market. I know a bit about SEO, but I'm pretty sure I don't know enough. Do you think it's feesible for me to learn enough about SEO that I can take care of optimisation during development, or does it make more sense to have a second resource to work along side me and manage SEO on his or her own? How do most small e-com outfits handle SEO? I would appreciate any advice that can be offered on this subject.

In addition, we have been looking for SEO resumes to scour through and have found it extremely difficult to find qualified SEOs in the greater Boston area. Does anybody have any recommendations on where would be a good place to look for potential employees?

Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer.

I think it's far better to hire a professional SEO on contract basis rather than employing some one or you may even take an outsourcing support which can be much cost effective.
