Hello,

Looking at setting up a couple of commerce sites for a client - can anyone recommend a reputable and reliable provider of local and national number lines.

Does one get revenue share on 0845s? I'm sure I've seen this in the past, but it doesn't seem to be the case now.

Google searches seem to produce millions of resellers.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

We use a company called Telecom One for our 0870 and 0800 numbers. We chose them initially because the 0870 numbers we wanted were in their allocated range, but as it happens we are more than happy with their service (luckily!).

We don't have any 0845s, but a search of google shows there are some companies offering revenue share still of between 0.3p and 0.5p per minute (daytime) on those numbers.

To maximise revenue share, you may want to consider using VOIP - assuming you have broadband then the calls could be answered through a PC/Headset etc.

For a 0870 number, in a simplified example, the number routes from the caller to the telecom provider, who earn a revenue from it, they then have to redirect the call to the number you choose to receive the calls on. They have to pay for making this call to the terminating number which eats into the revenue. If they can deliver the call to you via VOIP then the costs of delivery are practically nill, meaning there should be more revenue available to share :)

I know someone who used to have an (I think) 0845 number through VOIP on a revenue share, if I can find who he used, I'll let u know.
