I currently have an ecommerce site and I'm looking into cutting costs and have heard domain validated SSL certificates are cheap, when is it acceptable to just have this over a normal ssl?

Although Domain Validation offers the lowest level of validation, it’s perfect for testing and internal use, such as intranets etc. It’s also the quickest and easiest SSL certificate you can buy. Probably not good idea for an ecommerce site tho.
