Hello,

I'm not from the US. I often have request from customers wanting to send me cheques.

Does anyone know if it is possible for a foreigner to open a US bank account (if possibly via the net)? If yes, let me know how and where.

Probably at NetBank, they only operate on the internet.

Have anybody tried using their ITIN (which is basically a SSN for non-us residents) to open an account. My brother lives in florida 6 months a year, is a Canadian, has US bank accounts and US credit cards, but does not have a SSN. So their must be ways to open a US bank account without a SSN card.
