Hi,
suppose I have a blog about certain product. I get 1000 visitors a day. If I include a store in my blog how many orders I can expect to get?
I know it is hard to guess and a lot depends on how the visitors get to my site, keywords they use, etc etc.

But I can tell you 2 facts, may be this will help in guesswork.
1- my adsense ctr is around 10%, so every 10th visitor clicks on adsense ads which are for the products I am planning to sell in the store.

2- 30-40% traffic comes from SE with keywords like
"cheap green widget"
"buy pink widget"

My guess is if 100 visitors out of 1000 are clicking on adsense ad and going to another store. then out of those 100 visitors I am sending, atleast 1 visitor must be placing a order.
so out of 1000 visits a day, can I assume 1 order a day atleast.
(keep in mind that ctr reduces sharply if visitors see any sort of redirects etc. In may case they will stay at the same web address.)

what is your experience telling ya?

Thanks for sharing.

I had some low cost widgets on my website and I found that I needed about 70 visits to my site to get one order.
But then again, my website is not that well done.
