Does anyone here use an Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate? That's what will turn the address bar from blue to green in Firefox 3.5, and I'm reading it's also supported in Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, Safari 3.2, Opera 9.5, and Google Chrome. GoDaddy sells them for $200/year. I wonder if it affects sales in these browsers.

The fact that not many major retailers have started using EV-SSL suggests that it is worthless. The public are not very aware of what these certificates are - they merely look for the gold padlock and https:

those 10% of them who is aware of what the heck "SSL" is at all :-)
