Does anyone know how to change the merchant account phone number that a customer can see when they look at their credit card charges online?
I did a test transaction with my personal American Express card. I then went online to my personal American Exprress account, and under the "Recent Acitivity" I see the phone number that I want to change.
I then contacted my merchant account provider, and they told me that American Express has to make this change. However, I don't think they're right...wouldn't this phone number be saved on my merchant account profile?
I even logged into my American Express Merchant account online, and I don't see the phone number that shows up on my personal American Express account listed anywhere.
