Hi,

I am looking for good and cost reasonable "pay by mobile" billing. So called Premium SMS.

It must meet the following requirements

1. User enter their phone number in the field
2. Get uniqe id by SMS
3. Enter this id in the required field and get an access to a paid part of my site

I saw so many sites selling ringtones with such billing. But who is this guys ?

Anybody can recommend a good solution?

Thank you.

Hi alex7xl,

Sorry I don't have an answer for you as I have never looked into that service myself. Have you narrowed down your selection by doing a Google search on '"pay by mobile" billing' yet?

This thread prompted me to have a quick look at what is on offer. In the ones that I have just looked at payment processor grabs a larger percentage from an SMS transaction that for credit cards. Also for a search, try "SMS" not "mobile". The latter was just flooded with information on paying FOR mobiles.

For micropayments of digital content, virutal goods, downloads, most merchants simply pass on the mobile fees to the consumer. Happy to provide more info by pm.

there is also "allopass" ..big in Europe ..but also they have presence in the USA ..one of their services ( in Europe at least ) is pay via SMS for short term entry into protected areas of sites ..

wether they are any good or not ( from the point of view of merchants or customers ) I have no idea ..you'd need to do your own research ..I have heard that they are in the ringtones market though ..anyway it's another name ( I have no connection ) ..HTH
