Amazon Germany Fulfilment

hi - apart from our website we have significant sales on amazons' UK, France & Germany - we operate from the uk.

due to delivery time issues we have recently initiated a pilot run on amazon france(fr) regarding 'fulfilment'.

we tried to start a similar fulfilment exercise on amazon germany but they said a german vat number was required.

in total contrast to amazon.fr, amazon.de is the worst we have ever dealt with - nearly zero communication & definitely, if not deliberately most unhelpful.

would appreciate any comments regarding the german fulfilment issue.

to run on amazon.de norammlally all you need is a european wide valid vat number .
what here ( fr ) we call "numéro de TVA intracommunautaire"

leoghost - thx for you reply - we already have our UK vat number registered with them.

however, they say we specifically need a german vat number if we want to use their 'fulfilment sevice'...?
