I have been working on an ecommerce site, for about 3 weeks.. It was almost about 1-2 days from getting completed..
I was using yahoo stores.. and, then, I had a wake up call after calling support.. I wouldn't be able to use yahoo stores, because won't be able to update the 1,000's of products I had in mind.. thanks to there stupid programming, I would have to reupload all of the images too, instead of the regular csv file for product information..
go figure, though, I guess this might for the better.. I can customize the whole site, without bull.. I am thinking about just getting a web hosting plan with yahoo.. even, though it is a bit more expensive, but I like their web hosting better than godaddy, or anyone else ive seen.. And, it seems their hosting would be able to handle an ecommerce site, without using their stores.. it comes with ssl, unlimited emails,, and etc..
Though, I can program the site in php, and mysql, and other things.. But, Im sure I would be able to handle the programming of the shopping cart, after a tried and tested approach, won't be easy for me, especially, with freaking out over the safety, but I don't plan on making customers sign up for an account, to be able to check out,, just a simple session and cache check out..
though, my main issue right now, is with paypal.. I was thinking about using paypal websites pro.. I think this would be a nice option for me.. I don't want to have to mess with the processing,, and seems it would be simple to install..
anyone have any experience on paypal website pro? I just want something very simple, and easy to use..
