Hi Guys

I have an online store and am selling a new unique product for US$2.99. At this price it is a bit marginal for us profit wise.

Do you think US customers would react to a price of $US 3.49 ?

The same as they would $3.99.

We have a big selling item on our site that we sold THOUSANDS at $2.99. Average customer orders 10+. After some profit analysis, we realized we'd rather target higher priced/profit lines. So we raised the price to $4.99 (which makes the profit margins inline with our goals) and now offer quantity discounts at 2, 25, 50, 100, etc.

Sales of that line has remained steady but with far more profit.

If your product truly is unique, you should be able to command a higher price.
