How to extend osCommerce for dealers

Hi, I have a retail website built in osCommerce that sells directly to consumers. I'd like to add functionality so that I can sell to dealers, either as an order that ships directly to the dealer to replenish their in-store stock or a drop ship order placed by the dealer that ships directly to the consumer. The dealer would have special pricing/tax/shipping rates. Could someone provide some advice on how I would go about extending osCommerce to make this available? Or are there built in features that I should be using? Thanks very much for your help.

There is a contribution available that offers different prices to different types of users so depending on the group a user is in they would see a different price, therefore, your consumers would see $10 but anyone in the dealers group would see $8 for example. Everything else would be the same which is ideally how you want it to be.

One such example is Separate Pricing Per Customer [addons.oscommerce.com...] though I am sure there are others.
