Multi Vendor Shopping Carts

i've been approached by a long-standing compeditor to enquire if i would be interested in selling some of my products on his new website.

it's a multi-vendor setup.

i understand i would have my own admin etc but i'm not sure about the payments part of it.

can anyone tell me how my payments for sales & also his commission on those sales would be processed?

any other info appreciated.

I think you would have to ask the person running the site how they are going to do handle payments but I would suspect lump payments either daily, weekly, monthly just to keep the costs low on banking fees and to handle issues like canceled orders.

The bigger problem is usually tax and shipping issues from a multi-vendor site, unless you're all in the same geographic region (state), so make sure they have all that ironed out.
