Has Anybody Else Experienced Bugs With XCART?

This is not meant to be a vent all about xcart post but I do need help

I am seeking help from anyone who might have had similar issues I have been constantly in touch with support at the same time each day, for over a week and I am no further to having the issues resolved. I don't think that the support section has ever had to contend with these issues before. i am wondering if they are cookie related.

Firstly, I need to say that I am viewing everything on mac platform from three separate machines and each machine behaves the same way. I am using Safari and FireFox.

The main issue is:
1. Items chosen after the "add to cart" button is pressed are not included in the cart; A message "Your Cart Is Empty" follows

2. Other times when the same button is pressed the page 'freezes' and the visitor cannot proceed.

3. On the registration page an error occurs creating a false redirect to the home page.

4. There are a few smaller issues which I won't mention until support has had a fair chance to address them

I will hasten to add that I did test the carts functionality with the demo and everything was ok then.

"Time is money" as they say and this is all becoming very frustrating and it's costing me money as I have already warmed up potential visitors telling them there will be a new shopping cart available for the sale of my products.
The problem is to research, find and test another cart is also time intensive.

This is not meant to be a vent all about xcart post, however If I could ascertain whether or not these are common or fixable issues I can just move on to the next step and look for another cart.

My first question can they replicate the problem onthe support end?

Hi Benbwn,
Points #2 &3 have been replicated by Support, however they cannot replicate #1
I have provided the with .mov file screen capture of the problem occurring, however I know that this is of little use except to prove that the problem is not a product of my imagination.

My intent here was to establish if anyone else has ever encountered the same problem and if so find out whether there exist any workarounds. Judging by the lack of responses, I guess I'm the only member of WebmasterWorld who has ever encountered this issue.

Give it some time allot of the folks here are on another time zone. Wish I could help ya but I have never used the xcart.

I did have an similar issue with mine and couldn't get support to replicate the problem ending up being Google check out that was resolved with an update to the cart.

Xcart support have been very responsive, hopefully they will eventually pinpoint the problem.
