Zen Cart

Hey everyone...sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I just learned about Zen Cart... can this be right, they're offering a free shopping cart? Are they all linked together, or is this legitamite?

Does anyone use this? Is it helpful, or worth it, or should I just buy a better cart?

Yes - Zen Cart is free as it is released under the GNU and is open source. osCommerce is another one that is more widely known and used.

It is free but what you will get out of it will depend on your experience or who you hire to develop and customize it to meet your needs.

OSCommerce's source code is really really ugly, Zen-Cart, little bit better, still ugly.

but at user level, it doesn't matter too much, I will choose Zen over OSC.

i have designed sites for many people using zen-cart. it works great. once you learn in which php codes everything is in, it's a piece of cake.

...actually, one more question:

How does the upload function work with osCommerce and Zen Cart?

-can I load several products at once, or one item per upload (which could take forever)!

Is there anyway to intergrate an MS Excel spreadsheet to upload multiple products at a time?

oh yeah...one more question: Do they integrate into QuickBooks?

...beginning to sound like i need to purchase a cart! Do you have any recommendations? How about UltraCart?
