I have seen these phishing attempts with banks and credit card companies. But I just receuved one from "MacDonalds" wanting me to do a survey. The URL was going to take me a .nl address.

It said that I would receive an $80 credit for doing the survey. I suspect it was going to ask for my credit card to transfer the credit, or maybe its all about getting my paypal info. I obviously did not click on the link so I really do not know what was the target of the scam.

So be careful folks, they are getting a little more creative.

If it was from "MacDonalds" that should have been a warning! (unless it was from a restaurant in Scotland).

The only time I probably fell for a web scam was way back in the still-squeaky clean mid-90s. I answered a long survey supposedly from The Gallup Organization. Never got the promised $100. Didn't give up any financial info I'm quite sure, tho.
