Anyone use these guys? We had switched about 2 months ago to give them a try. In that time they have been down two times and we were unable to process. Luckily we still have First Data as well and were/are able to switch over but im shocked at how horrible Heartland is. I mean two big outages in 2 months ... pitiful

Heartland recently suffered what's been coined the biggest PCI breach to date. A breach of that size will disrupt service.

Yep, and the first outage was the day before they made the announcement. However, I doubt that would be the explanation for now. At any rate, im glad I kept first data.

Heartland had my Visa card somehow, my bank just sent me a new card and blamed Heartland for the breach ... repeatedly.

Now I have to figure out everyone that has automatic payments for that card ... arrgghh!

What's happened to Heartland is a terrible misfortune. We all will probably see an increase in cybercrime because of this economic downturn.

When it comes to outages, all payment processors generally kick up to the same limited amount of networks. If there is an outage for one processor, others are probably feeling it too.

Your satisfaction with a particular payment processor is ultimately dependent on the representative you have to work with your account. Can they get you fast answers? Can they connect you with the right people? Do they truly understand your fees?

CreditCardGuy ... we had used First Data and had very very few outages for a very limited time. We switched to heartland and had two prolonged outages in two months. It wasnt upstream issues, it was heartland. We know this as we still had first data and was able to use that in place of heartland.
