Integrating Mal's Ecommerce

Hi All,

I've just started another ecommerce site and thought I would give Mal's Ecommerce a go.

It seems pretty good so far, just trying to make it a bit more seamless. At the moment when you click on the 'buy now' or 'view cart' buttons it takes you to the page hosted on their server.

I would like to have these parts displayed on my own pages. Is the only way of doing this to use iframes? Any help on the best way of achieving this would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would think you'd be expert support by asking the author of the service?

Can't speak to your situation because it isn't something we do, but we've got numerous carts with Mal. Great guy as far as I can tell. Decent service. Support is limited because he isn't selling support. He's helpful, to a point. You may need to bring somebody in to do what you want. Try their forums. I've not spent enough time on them to know if they are helpful or not.

The service end could be upgraded a lot, as could the sample sections of how the cart works and how to do different things. It's a big gap that a lot of people would like to see him put more effort into. Good for me that he doesn't because I've made a lot of money doing some fairly simple work for other people that have his cart but don't know enough (anything) to really utilize the capabilities. I know it fairly well, and am always open to picking up a new trick so win-win for me.

However, to iterate - he's not selling service so don't expect too, too much. Hire it out if he can't give you a simple fix. Mal's is a tremendous bargain already.

Hi, Thanks for the advice.

I didn't realise you can customise the checkout page when I wrote this. For now I have just made the checkout more in theme with the rest of the site, put a header image on there etc.
