We are way busier today than we were a week ago. Is anyone else noticing that with your ecommerce business.

... and another thing. Nobody uses the term "cyber" anymore. So calling something "cyber-monday" seems really dumb in 2008. It might have made perfect sense in 1998 but that was way back in the 20th century.

So I will be the first to call the second Monday after American Thanksgiving .... Ecom-Monday!

you heard it here first ;-)

Actually, "Green Monday" is the name already adopted by many online retailers.

Rugles, I am seeing the same thing on my ecom sites; roughly 2-5x as busy this Monday as last. None of our products are really suitable for gifts -- maybe this is the big day for "none-giftable" etailers?

Second the, "What in the world -- Green Monday?" sentiment.

I would say the green of the money coming in. Money electrons are green, right? :)

Huge Nerd, about a 1/10 of our products are suitable for gifts. They are selling well are our "non-gift" items. I have no idea why there was a week delay in the traffic and sales. Maybe it is because of the economy and people are looking for deals and not pulling the trigger as fast.

I did notice a spike in traffic on black friday/cyber monday, maybe this is just the payoff? Sales have been slower today, but the call volume is still high.
