I just saw on Mal's ecommerce site that it seems that Google may be shutting down Google Checkout after Christmas as it seems to be loosing money.

mentioning this here is my way to check to see if anyone else has heard this or can indicate what they have heard (and the source).

That sounds like a vicious rumor to me. This isn't Google Browser Sync that is being retired. We're talking about many eCommerce sites that have invested time and effort into building integration. Maybe the perks like free Checkout fees based AdWords usage will change, but I don't see Google throwing in the towel.

I hope not we're just implementing it now... I doubt they'd be able to kill it that quick.
