Volusion bandwidth issues?

We are working on a series of small e-commerce websites each selling around 100 products. They are targeted at local markets, so aren't super-high traffic.

We are evaluating a number of shopping cart packages, including Volusion, ZenCart, Magento, etc.

I love the idea of using Volusion and not having to constantly worry about upgrades, play the "site's down" dance with my host & software provider, etc.

However, I am extremely worried about some of the cheaper packages Volusion has to offer. They're "bronze" package which supports 100 skus only offers 2G of bandwidth/month, which doesn't seem reasonable even for a small local business.

I've read that many have struggled with Volusion's unnatural bandwidth limitations. Are any of you out there? What's been your experience? Did you have to upgrade your package just for bandwidth? How many gigs do you see on average per month?

Our limited experience with bandwidth limited products is that it is like getting a free car but paying $100 a gallon for gas.

2 gig is not really that much if the site has any kind of decent sized product pictures.
