Hello,

I have just helped to launch online shop that sells designer womens clothing (the brand is known locally and is well respected, but unknown in other countries). These guys were producing womens clothing for major Scandinavian brands and they have moved on and created their own limited collections. The online shop is focused to European markets.

It's up and running for about a week now. No sales. Prices are not the lowest, I would say moderate, but the quality is excellent as well as fabrics. We are running AdWords, we get traffic, no sales.

Could you give any advices - maybe I am rushing a bit? On the other hand, I would love to see even first sale coming up. Has anybody used Kelkoo listings? I see major brands (online shops) are there, maybe it is worth spending some budget on that system?

I have uploaded everything to Google base, shopmania etc...

Thanks
BTW: the

Anybody had experience with Kelkoo?

There are a lot of factors that could be at play here which makes it really difficult to diagnose without seeing your actual website unfortunately.

How many page views are you receiving per visitor? What is their length of stay? I'm wondering if the PPC customers are coming in and dropping off right away.

Google Base is great but will only provide decent results if there is sufficent demand for that exact product.

I've never heard of Kelkoo but I am from the US. It looks like they are owned by Yahoo! so it's probably a safe bet.

Hi, thanks for the rapid response!

The overall bounce rate is about 32%. 4.35 pages per visit.

Maybe the lead time for buying clothes is a bit longer than you think.

Bounce Rate looks decent. PPV is low but this could also depend on the number of pages you have.

Here's a visits to purchase for one of our clothing sites this past month:

1 visits 60.05%
2 visits 13.79%
3 visits 5.28%
4 visits 2.71%
5 visits 1.93%
6 visits 1.68%
7 visits 1.16%
8 visits 0.90%
9-14 visits 9.28%
15-25 visits 2.96%
26-50 visits 0.26%

When you say you are targetting Europe, there are a number of things that jump to mind, what language is the store in, how good is your shipping between european countries,m are you using geo targetted ads, are you selling wholesale or to consumers, what payment method are you using, where are you based (I'm hoping you don't say Iceland)

Kelkoo seem to do quite well in the UK, as do pricerunner. people in the UK are less likely to have heard of Google base though (not sure about the rest of Europe).

The language is English. I believe most of the internet buyers (i emphasize - buyers) are good at English.
We are using geo targeting on Adwords. We have free regular shipping on all items (free shipping, not shipping included). Also you may choose UPS shipping for faster deliveries (which is not free). We are accepting only PayPal for now (well, that could be the problem but I would notice that, because it is clear that people are not buying things when they create account). We are based in Lithuania (if this matters) EU.
