Protx.com down after DOS attack

http://www.protx.com/ seems to be offline - or worse, is there but seems to have been compromise! The worrying thing is that they have been experiencing a Denial of Service attack over the last few days which appears to have been severely disrupting sales.

Protx has been better than most at keeping their clients informed, but the suggestion has been that significant infrastructure changes have been made to minimize the damage a D.O.S. attack would cause. My guess is that they should seriously consider whether paying the company that implemented this safeguard was a good plan.

Anyway - has anyone had any sales through Protx today? Does anyone have any idea if the site is going to come back? If not, I need a new payment provider very quickly...

They had the same thing a few months back, so obviously they didnt beef up their system hard enough.

Although very nice of em to buy protx.co.uk of me ;)

Is that why they couldn't afford a decent DOS prevention system? You took their money and went to China :)
