Creating an ebay store template

I'm a web designer, I shouldn't have to pay someone else to do it!

Hello everyone!

I've been working in web design for several years, so I know my way around html, images, css and several other internet languages.

The problem I'm coming up against is this -

My company has an ebay store and it looks like crap. Being a web designer, I KNOW I can create a template on my own, but all my searching through Google has only garnered results of people willing to make templates for me.

Does anyone know where there is a good tutorial (or free templates I could thusly deconstruct) to show me how to create an ebay store template from scratch?

Thank you very much.

I would start here and do some homework as getting a better design up will have a huge impact on sales.

Welcome aboard jamina1, if you can design pages, what exactly are you having trouble with?

We haven't sold on eBay commercially for almost 2 years now, for one reason: when they incorporated the new Web 2.0 Ajax "rich text" interfaces, it made it impossible to do ANYTHING with any predictability. It officially became the only site I turned off Javascript by default - so I could use it.

If this is your issue, that might help, use FF when designing and turn off Javascript. Then your HTML does what you expect it to do.
