are paid for online surveys websites legit?

they claim i can make $25,000/yr for doing 4surveys a day but i have to pay registration fee.. are sites like <snip> legit?

Around 2 years ago i joined around 10 survey sites, and only one place got back to me, they were called <snip>. They paid me CAN$5 per survey, which took around 15 minutes to fill out. They even offered to send me the products i was writing about. They didn't ask me for any "registration fees", so stay away from places that ask for money.

well thats a very very relevant question........u know what even at one point in time...i was compelled to think why to go through the long process of learning html css php and the like to make a website and make meagre amounts in ad revenue as a totally starter....

but then u know, i follow one gereal principle "if an offer is too good to be accepted, plz dont accept it"

i mean the elusive dream of making say $1000 by filling out syurveys wherein anyone and everyone can fill out without having any application of mind....is really very very tempting..but as all bad things (generally, now i know some people will frown upon me) are very very tempting..........

plus when one can make $1000 so fast and almost guaranteed why such companies dont allow one to earn first and deduct their charge and remit the balance; why need for any upfront advance payment.........

and as our friend who posted prior to me...relates his experiences...it makes me all the more convinced in my approach....

the sad part is the internet (i know real world too) is full of such websites and they generally run bcz always out of every 100 people certain number of people fall prey to it........

but i think friend some people here might have more direct experiences with them and hopefully will give a more first hand experience of it...

Let me guess how they pay: You take the surveys for a year (which means reading 4 sales presentations per day LOL) and AT THE END you get your lump sum check. Oops, the company just went out of business and all you have is a PO box in Miami.

Online surveys?

I've pretty much tried them all, half the time they make you fill half of it to get your personal info and then you get a "not elligible for survey, sorry" message.

All scams if you ask me.

Here's another reason these surveys are surely scams:

The survey results are flawed because the test group is hopelessly biased toward suckers, or at least people who are unemployed or otherwise have staggering amounts of free time. And no one cares much what such people think. LOL

I did it for a year and managed to earn approx $20 in that year - but to earn that $20 took well over a time that would make this cost effective.

I didnt go for any of the paid survey companies I went for the free ones, like ciao and acop and I am not doing any more as it wasn't worth it.

I would like to make a very humble request to the moderator that please dont delete reference to site names which are cited for better understanding.

for eg reference to www.site.com should not be allowed but reference to "site" in topics like this may be allowed so that members are able to benfit.

I am well aware of the rules of webmasterworld forums and fully respect that but in certain cases like this one selective discretionary exceptions may be made.

Its just a honest submission.

I agree with the previous post, in many cases showing the
URL is very helpfull to help members. Is it ok to mention
a company without the http://www. prefixe and without the .com suffixe? For example can we mention yahoo, or MSN or
ebay?

Excuse me, but I don't consider taking surveys to be "Ecommerce" within the scope of Webmasterworld. We don't need a url to know those deals usually stink.

This discussion invites copycats to clutter the board with fluff like, "I'm Dr. Kenayta of Lagos, son of late former petroleum minister of...".

In some countries such might be considered ecommerce. LOL

But these scam ebooks and scam adware remove tools are selling very well at clickbank. You are unable to find who they are and their whois record is protected from the beginning.

At the very beginning i would never expect a webmasterworld member to start spamming like what "Oimachi2" did in two posts. Its unfortunate that for peoplelike him essentially we have to suffer...see his two posts just to flame and excite moderator...

so long as people like "Oimachi2" are present true we should follow forum rules strictly even though it is hurting overall interest....

true i agree with "jsinger" that survey is not an ecommerce topic but then there is no separate forum here for it...so it ia acceptable...further webmasterworld is a place where u discuss everything every aspect which can also include this topic as well.

but then i respect everybody opinion...these are just my thoughts...

Last year, I went through a lot of survey sites and only found one that was really worth my time. Most of the surveys they offered me were for $20, and after I completed it, I could just click Request Payment and my check would be there in about a month.

Not too bad. If you want a link, sticky me, but I'm not gonna say the name of it in this thread.
