NY State Sales Tax

Do I have to collect them if I only sell access to my content?

Quick question: I was just reading around within the New York State Tax laws, but I could not find my product being listed among the ones that require you to collect state sales taxes.

In other words: If I sell access to my content to my customers online (I'm not shipping anything!) and most of my customers don't even live in NY, I probably don't have to collect and pay any sales taxes in NY, right?

The price per item will probably be below $10.

We seem to tax everything and anything every which way possible, so you might very well have to if you're located in NY. Get with your local accountant to find out exactly what's what.
