Let's say that I want to take the traditional "Mall" concept online, a "Virtual Mall". And, I want to act as the Merchant Provider for all tennants. Meaning, there will be one Merchant Account (behind the scenes) where all activity takes place. From there, the data will be further refined based on the tennant ID.
Is there a system out there that allows me to act as a "Global Merchant" and then provide merchant services to those within a controlled ecommerce community? I basically want to eliminate the hassles for local entrepreneurs of going through the process of setting up a Merchant Account. I know they are easy to do but it is just one part of the process I don't want them doing if they don't have to. Oh, if they already have a Merchant Account, that's fine too.
I want visitors to remain on the destination site while performing all transactions. I don't want the visible domain to change other than to https.
I would also want those tennants to have Virtual Terminals, mobile access, etc. I don't want them to have to deal with "traditional terminals". I want them to be able to function just like the sales associates in the Apple Stores, that is so "now". No registers, no checkout counters, just an associate with a PDA.
Do I need to get out more often? Does such a thing exist? I have this sneaky suspicion that someone is going to immediately reply and say, "Dude, where ya been?" :)
