This is 2nd time that my customer's payment is cancelled. The customer ordered product with overnight shipping on Sunday evening, 2CO sent us email to show "Incoming Payment Processed" through V2, we logined to 2CO account to verify, the payment is from an international card, everything was fine there. Usually, we ship out order right after we get the payment. But due to some reasons, we did not ship on Monday, and we shipped the order on Tuesday. Then, on Tuesday evening, we got email to say 2CO think the payment might be fraudulent, they cancelled that payment.

My God, it is too late, 2 days after the customer made the payment, 2CO tell me it is fraudulent. Does anybody have this kind of experience? How to avoid it? I don't blame 2CO cancel the payment, I blame they do it too slowly. Somebody might say we should call customer to verify the payment, it is impossible for us to check every order like this. We screened it already, went to 2CO to check the details, phone #, address, email, everything.

We have no merchant account, we have to depend on 2CO to accept credit card. But its slow-action will definately hurt our business more in the future. Since we always ship out product right after we get custoemrs' payment. Can anyone suggest a good credit card payment gateway rather than PayPal (I am using it also) without merchant account requirement?

Its your money and business - take the time to screen the orders in detail especially ones that are high ticket or want quick delivery service.

You assume two days to notify you of credit card issue is slow. But if you get your own merchant account, the turn around time could be a month if it passes the payment gateway security.

If there is any doubt in your mind, ask for additional documents or else cancel the order.

We swtiched from 2CO to Worldpay mainly because of their fraud screening procedures. With Worldpay they give you more tools to look out for fraud. We have now managed this problem despite being in a high risk sector

Try to verify all shipments that require overnight delivery. This is one of the biggest red lights when it comes to fraudulent credit card charges. They are hoping that you will ship the item out before the processor finds out it is fraudulent
