Expiration date of preauthorization?

Good morning,

If i preauth an amount of money, is it possible for me to see what period of time this autorisation is valid?

With some banks the autorisation is valid for 3 days, with others for 10 days.
How do i know when i have to preauth again if that period is not long enough?

I think you should check with your merchant company.
