Appointment-Based Online Billing

Need a shopping cart to allow customers to pay for appointments online

Hi. I'm a small time web developer, and this is my first post to the forums.

I have a client whose business is billed for semi-regular appointments (music lessons et al.), and not by tangible goods, or a regular subscription. We want to offer customers the opportunity to pay online, via credit card. The site does not have to process the cards natively (we'd be happy to have it handed off to a 3rd party, perhaps paypal until we get a good idea of the use the system will get). However, I'm unable to find any info at all on a shopping cart program that will keep track of appointments, allowing the technically disinclined to enter them easily and frequently. The customers need to log in and pay for their appointments on an optionally-online basis, so the client will have to keep editing out those appointments which a customer pays via cash or check.

Any and all help or comments would be appreciated.

Do they also need to schedule these classes online?

Nope. Just pay. It might be a nice feature, but its not a necessity.

You might check out Pilates Plus - they have pretty much everything there for the user to schedule appointments, etc. It might be a bit overkill, but you would not need to use all their extra features. Right now it can be used using the LinkPoint, Verisign, and Authorizenet.com payment gateways
