I am very curious, why SMS (Short Message Service) is not hot in North American? I notice few major websites provide SMS for visitors, which is totally different in Aisa (China, Japan, Korea). In Asia, revenue brought by SMS is as big as advertisement for portal websites.
Does that because North America mobile carriers do not want to offer such service? Or because of culture/rate?
Personally, if my phone started buzzing with all sorts of SMS garbage I'd probably put it under my car tire and slowly back over it until it crushed into a nice satisfying pile of techno dust.
People constantly text each other - esp kids and chavs.
Sms spam does exist - but not to much. (Normally dating rubbish)
Google search on chavs - wiki article pretty much sums it up.
