OK, I know some of you may think this belongs in another thread but I really think it belongs here because if being on one type of another effects organic SERP's, then it is direct Ecommerce issue.

So, what relevance or difference do you think it makes for having an ecommerce site on a dedicated server vs. a shared server?

Huge! On a shared server, one rogue site (or customer) can crash the whole server.

Do you want to risk your livelihood because of one inexperienced programmer uploading code that keeps bringing the entire server to its knees?

Or because another idiot customer doesn't use proper password protection and allows a hacker to upload a virus or Trojan that crashes the server?

Well, it's Verio. But I guess what you're saying is that even still, someone could do this?
