PayPal contact problem

Anyone got a direct line that works!

Hi All,
I have a problem with PayPal that needs sorting direct with a human.
They just keep sending standard mails and the tel number on the site will not get me a human either after 3 attempts from long distance.(over 45 mins listening to recorded messages.
Any suggestions leading to a solution of how to speak to Customer Service appreciated.

There are some possibilities if you do a search in Google for:
Paypal telephone number
But I have no idea if any give better results than the heavily backlogged Paypal Customer service number you have.

I have used 888 221 1161
You get a voice mail system
If you act like you want to
"open a new account" it is
easier to get a live person...
but I have gotten a live person
and then asked to be transferred
to whatever dept I need.

To find the contact number for our live support, log in to your PayPal account, click on the Help link at the upper right, click on Contact us on the left side of the page, and then look for the Contact by Phone section. Call within the hours posted and you can speak with a customer support specialist. (There may be automated help functions on the phone menu, but there are also real people available to help with more complicated questions.)

Great theory!
Perhaps you would like to pay my International phone bill after 3 attempts during which I wasted nearly 1 hour waiting for these "real people" to wake up!

It seems that these problems are increasing day by day for many people out here. There are so many identical questions or problems in forums where there are complaints like this. And what is more it has happened with me also 2 or 3 times in past. What can be done except posting here and there. I think live chat support is an option, which is not used with much belief, but should be. Although it has it's own limitations still it is one of the support options.
