I am looking for a new robust ecommerce platform or atleast backbone. I would like a good backbone that can be customized yet still be able to be updated. Maybe a company who does custom ecommerce platforms.

Our company does over 20 million in business and with a better platform could do over 40 soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you wanting something done yourself or a shopping cart that is created from scratch?

There are a lot of full ecommerce providers, but the problem usually is when you try to move to another one. It is more difficult at that point.

It sounds like you are doing enough business to have a full time web development team handling your servers. You could consider getting a few servers and then using F5 to help with load balancing.
