Hello,
I do run e-commerce website here in US. I do have two US merchant accounts. I would like to open the same website in Europe, with an european domain and also with an european merchant account. We do process high volume. I would prefer to open an account with some european bank, the best solution, the german bank. Does anyone have any experiences with EU bank offering decent CC merchant accounts?
Thanks a lot

There are a number of them. For some off the top of my head, check out the gateway Protx or check out Barclay's as well.

Anybody from Germany? What payment processors do you use?

Actually, it seems that people here, in Germany, got used to pay with bank wire transfer, and not with CC. Sometimes the process called "Lastschrift" is used.

"Lastschrift" means the customer gives you number of her/his bank account and the BLZ (Bank/Branch number). Then you have permission to get the agreed amount off her/his bank account (with technical support of some kind of a gateway processor).

So, if you're going to sell in Germany, opening a bank account to accept wire transfer might be enought.

You might also check WorldPay, that offers both CC and Lastschrift processing.
